Biodiversity & Business

The Chartered Institution of Wastes ManagementBiodiversity is the variety and complexity of life on Earth. Biodiversity plays an essential role in keeping our planet and us healthy and makes an important contribution to our social and economic welfare.

Business depends on biological resources: natural resources provide us with food, fuels, clothing, paper, medicines, and much more. We all use and depend on resources derived from biodiversity. Biodiversity is a fundamental business issue.
