A considerable amount of environmental legislation impacts generally on business, a substantial element relates to activity-specific controls which apply to works, processes and installations so as to limit their polluting effect.
This course is designed to provide an in-depth understanding of the nature of those controls, adopting a "cradle to grave" approach from the pre-application stage right through to the cessation of operations. The course can be tailored to meet the specific requirements of individual companies

- Strategic concepts of pollution control
- Future pollution control legislation
- Specific controls:
- Consents to discharge to water courses and sewers
- Waste management / carrier licences and exemptions
- IPC authorisations / PPC permits
- LAAPC authorisations / permits
